Project 801 flush deck is the flagship of Windseeker yacht series designed by Stimson Yachts. The design brief calls for a Global Cruiser, capable of sailing round the world. Blending elegance and performance, the boat is designed to deliver good passage making speeds, stability, handling and seaworthiness.
801 can be sailed shorthanded by owner and 2 crew. The deck layout has been optimized with cruising in mind and the lifting keel will make it easier to visit and anchor at at shallow water bays.
Stimson Yachts carefully considered the elements of cost, complexity and performance throughout the design loop. Hi-Modulus engineered composite strip planked cedar, E-glass, and Epoxy hull construction is accompanied by full foam composite deck. The end result is a fast, well-appointed yacht, which will be uncomplicated to sail.
The primary interior structures are made of lightweight E-glass/foam core/epoxy sandwich panels, with non-structural joinery fabricated from light weight plywood.
This 80 footer will offer the speed, stability, safety and control that the owner requires for world cruising.
